Details of the Job/Internship

WeRize is hiring a Legal Manager – LAP with experience of 5–7 years to join their office in Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support the credit team by performing rigorous due diligence on property documents prior to loan sanction.
• Coordinate with law firms, advocates, and search agencies to obtain accurate search reports and legal clearances.
• Guide internal teams on resolving documentation gaps and creating enforceable charges on properties.
• Liaise with government authorities for the creation, rectification, and release of property charges.
• Identify, onboard, and monitor the performance and turnaround times of external legal vendors.
• Ensure strict compliance with property laws, SARFAESI, Stamp & Registration Acts, and local real estate regulations.
• Partner with the Collections team to provide legal support for recovery processes when required.
• Maintain dashboards and MIS to track vendor performance, legal risks, and instances of non-compliance.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree (3-year or 5-year program) from a recognized university.
• 5–7 years of experience in legal roles, preferably within NBFCs or financial institutions handling LAP.
• Strong knowledge of Indian property laws, SARFAESI, and local real estate regulations.
• Experience working with legal vendors, government bodies, and cross-functional corporate teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with legal tech tools and digital finance frameworks.
• Proactive, self-driven professional with strong problem-solving and execution skills.
