  • Do you want to work in a law firm as a litigator?
  • Do you wonder how you could get to work on criminal matters involving authorities like the Enforcement Directorate, CBI and other specialised investigative agencies, and represent clients at special criminal courts?
  • Do you want to work on corporate fraud, money laundering, securities fraud, ponzi scheme-related matters that get reported in the media?
  • Do you want to work on highly-paid criminal litigation work and represent corporate clients, foreign investors and HNIs?

Why white-collar crime?

  • White collar crime and specialty legal defence is one of the fastest-growing practice areas for law firms and criminal litigators
  • Top law firms are fast beefing up their white collar teams, new white collar crime firms are emerging, even traditional litigators are shifting to this practice area as they find more well-paying and rewarding work in this area
  • As a lawyer, you get to work with corporate clients, HNIs, foreign investors and directors who can pay much more than typical individual clients
  • It is not necessary to pursue white collar crime work in the courtroom alone, there are enough opportunities in law firms where you can earn a predictable income and have faster growth
  • Although traditional criminal cases are reducing every year as overall crime rates lower in India, white-collar & specialty legal defence work is increasing as economic, corporate and financial offences increase
  • There is a scarcity of trained lawyers in this area - it involves specialised investigative authorities, officers and statutes such as CBI, ED, or other regulatory officers

Who is this for

Litigators who are struggling to earn more and find clients - white collar crime is a very high demand and high-margin practice area with very little competition

Litigators who are struggling to establish themselves and want to work on highly paid matters and represent corporate clients and MNCs - white collar crime and specialty legal defence presents a very unique opportunity

Litigators who want to work in a law firm - big law firms are rapidly expanding white collar crime practice as this is a highly profitable practice area in comparison to others, and several new boutique law firms are being started and growing rapidly

Senior or mid Level lawyers who want to emerge into highly profitable sectors of earning

Lawyers who are fascinated by criminal law but do not want to pursue or continue in traditional litigation due to ethical concerns or challenges around personal safety

Law students who have an interest in criminal litigation - you can build your own clients as a white collar crime lawyer due to a brand new opportunity, or even get well-paying jobs in law firms as a white collar crime lawyer

Who can you work with

  • Big law firms, in their white collar crime practice
